The Mission

About Phillip

     Phillip Enkey was born and raised in a small town on the coast of North Carolina called Havelock. He was one of five young boys when his mother passed away in a tragic car accident. 
     Phillip relied on music as a way to cope with the loss of his mother and the formation of his new family. Phillip found love young, meeting his future wife, Dani, at 14 yrs old. They dated exclusively through highschool until Phillip eventually left on a two year mission for his church at the age of 19. Dani wrote him every week and they married when he returned home. 
     Much of his music is from falling in love as a teenager and getting through the pains of loss, depression, chronic pain from 3 back surgeries and addiction with the help of his soulmate Dani and his faith. 
     Phillip later learned that his deceased mother was sadly forced to give up her first baby girl for adoption when she was 16, Phillip was united with a sister he never knew he had! Later his brother William Enkey came home after serving two tours in Afghanistan with wounds only soldiers can understand. This inspired Phillip to join the Army.

I only have a few precious memories of my mom before she passed away. But I haven't forgotten what it feels like to be unconditionally loved by someone. Feeling accepted, being seen as you are, and loved unconditionally, are desires that every one of us share in common. I have felt a grief that has persisted like a chronic ache from losing my mom.

I have felt the feelings of anger, confusion and loss from finding out I had a sister from my mom who passed, who I never met before I was 27 years old. I have experienced physical and sexual abuse. I live with chronic pain from 3 back surgeries. And with all of this I know that I am one of the luckiest people to ever walk this planet! I have received love from others around me since I was a child. I have always been taken care of by someone, or some kind deed or some small miracle.

I have a beautiful life. I am married to the love of my life, my soulmate and my reason. We have 5 beautiful children together and are creating a beautiful life together. The mission of my music is to share with the world the type of love that I have always received. I love each person I meet. I love you, whoever you are reading this right now. I love you for so many reasons. I love you because whoever you are, you want what I want. You want to feel loved by those you love the most. You want to feel accepted. You probably want to fall in love. Or maybe you really want to be independent, or successful, or recognized or significant in some way. You want to feel warm, safe, seen, appreciated.

You want to feel meaningful to someone in some way. You want to know that you matter, and that people care about you. I feel all of these things too. I want these things for you! I don’t believe in limited success, we can all experience the fulfillment and significance that we seek. When we get to the root of what each of us desire we begin to see that all of us are seeking essentially the same things, we’re just going about it in different ways tailored to our individual circumstances.
I hope my songs and my message can be a resource to all that are hurting. Whatever you are going through, the first step to healing is receiving unconditional love. That love can come from ourselves, our environment, or our core beliefs.If you haven’t received that love, I want it to start with me then. I love you. You are lovable, you are valuable There is no one on this planet exactly like you. I want to learn more about you and your story. Please reach out to me if my music or message resonates with you. I am happy to be a help and support to you in any way that I can.
